Cannon Certification

Perryville Battlefield Historic State Site

On April 1st the big guns descended on Perryville Historic Battlefield for certification. From Revolutionary and British forces through the American Civil War all time periods were represented. Certification consisted of both lecture and hands on training and included a film on safety.

When the crews took to the fields each member of the crew rotated through the various positions until each was knowledgeble at all positions. Thanks to the Perryville Battlefield for hosting the event and serving lunch. The cannon certification was sponsored by The Civil War Artillery Association.
