Graphic Enterprises Receives Two History Awards for 2008

We are pleased to announce that on Saturday March 7, 2009 we received two Kentucky History Awards. The Kentucky History Awards program, celebrates outstanding programs, exhibits, web sites and publications, as well as individuals who have excelled in the field or made lifetime contributions to the preservation, awareness and appreciation of Kentucky’s history.
In the category of Publication - Poster/Exhibit Catalog/Other our new Photo book Bringing History to Life... won a Certificate of Commendation.
In the Category of Education Program for Public our 1778 Siege of Fort Boonesborough DVD won an Award of Merit.
Awards were presented at a dinner on Saturday night at The Thomas D. Clark Center for History in Frankfort. We were proud to be among some outstanding winners from across the Commonwealth.
Our special thanks go out to all who helped contribute to these projects. Our filming and photography is enhanced by the quality of the locations, re-enactors and historians we work with.
In 2007 we also received History Awards - one for this web site and a Special Business/Corporate Award for our work in the historic community.
Graphic Enterprises and The Pioneer Times Receive History Awards
On Saturday March 1st, 2008 The Kentucky History Awards were presented by The Historical Confederation of Kentucky and The Kentucky Historical Society. The Awards Ceremony was held at the Thomas D. Clark Center for History.
Graphic Enterprises received a Certificate of Commendation for The Pioneer Times Website under the classification Publication-Web Site. Five Special Awards were given in the classifications of Government, Media, Business, Community History, and Lifetime Dedication to Kentucky History.
Graphic Enterprises was pleased to be honored with The Business Award in the Special Awards Classification.
The Fort Boonesborough Foundation received a much deserved Certificate of Commendation for a Volunteer Group. Accepting the award for The Foundation was President George Chalfant.
Fort Boonesborough also received an Award of Merit in the Publication Class for the Teacher Resource Packet CD. The CD is available to teachers and contains curriculum information for schools planning a field trip to Fort Boonesborough or Boone Station. Bill Farmer accepted the award on behalf of the Fort. He was instrumental in constructing the Curriculum sections of the project. Video and still photos were added to the package. The CD was produced by Graphic Enterprises for The Fort Boonesborough Foundation.
