Extended Description

Footage and still photos from various re-enactments are used to tell the first person stories of some of Kentucky's major historical figures. Ann McGinty (narrated by Melanie Kuntz) was an early settler at Harrodsburg and is said to have brought the first spinning wheel into Kentucky. Squire Boone, brother of Daniel Boone was a skilled woodsman in his own right and settled The Painted Stone Station. His story is narrated by Bill Keeling. Chief Blackfish was a Shawnee warrior who lead the great Siege against Boonesborogh. Jim Cumming's lends his voice to this segment. Long time re-enactor Jay Kell takes the voice of George Girty as he recounts the Battle of Blue Licks.  24 Minutes
