Extended Description
A film of The Long Run Massacre - A Re-Enactment hosted each year by The Painted Stone Settlers of Shelbyville, Kentucky. Filmed live over the two day event it recounts the attack of settlers leaving Squire Boone's Painted Stone Station in 1781, while heading for a more populated station because of reports of Indians in the area. Traveling with their livestock and household goods the settlers were attacked while crossing Long Run Creek by a party of Miami Indians led by the renegade Simon Girty and British officer Alexander McKee.
