Pioneer Times/Graphic Enterprises has for the past several years promoted a feature entitled Re-enactor of the Month. Here we feature a man or woman that has distinguished themselves in the re-enacting community. Featured guests need to exhibit knowledge in history, dress and an ability to share their hobby with the community and a willingness to mentor new re-enactors.
We often chose these ourselves but suggestions are taken. To submit a name, e-mail us. If chosen we will contact you for photos and a short summary and contact info about the nominee. Don’t forget the ladies - who often don’t get as prominent a place in re-enactments because of the mind set of the eighteenth century.
Also consider artisans and sutlers who show authenticity and integrity in their wares and in their dress and travel the circuit from week to week.
Suggested time period 1750 - 1820.
All suggestions and questions welcome.
